Red, White & Drizzle: A Healthier Fourth of July
The Fourth of July is one of my favorite times of the year. It’s a chance to gather with family and friends, enjoy the sunshine, and celebrate the simple moments that make life special. Around our house, that usually means good food, lots of laughter, and a little friendly competition around the grill.
This year, I’m keeping things simple, fresh, and full of flavor with a recipe that’s guaranteed to be a crowd favorite.
Arizona Summer Sauce Grilled Corn
Sweet corn and sweet heat are a match made in summer heaven.
Ingredients
- 6 ears fresh corn, husked
- 2 tablespoons melted butter or avocado oil
- ¼ cup Arizona Summer Sauce
- Fresh cilantro, chopped
- Crumbled cotija cheese (optional)
- Lime wedges
Directions
- Grill corn over medium-high heat for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally until lightly charred.
- Brush each ear with melted butter or avocado oil.
- Drizzle generously with Arizona Summer Sauce.
- Top with cilantro and cotija cheese if desired.
- Serve with fresh lime wedges.
The combination of smoky corn, fresh lime, and the sweet heat of Arizona Summer Sauce creates the perfect Fourth of July side dish.

A Thought for the Holiday
As we celebrate Independence Day, it’s also important to reflect on the deeper meaning of freedom. Just a few weeks ago, we honored Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and reminds us that freedom has not always been experienced equally by all.
Together, Juneteenth and the Fourth of July invite us to celebrate both how far we’ve come and the work that remains. They remind us to appreciate our freedoms, honor the resilience of those who came before us, and continue building stronger, more connected communities.
Whether you’re hosting a backyard barbecue, gathering with family, or watching fireworks light up the sky, take a moment to be grateful for the people around you and the opportunities we have to create a brighter future together.
At The Soul Farmacy, we believe food has a unique way of bringing people together. Around the table, we share stories, traditions, laughter, and love. Sometimes the most meaningful acts of community start with something as simple as a shared meal.
From our family to yours, we wish you a safe, joyful, and flavorful Fourth of July filled with good food, meaningful conversations, and memories worth savoring.
Food for the soul. Health for the body. Love for the community.
